Wesley School

Wesley School is a centralized Special Education Facility operated by Muskegon Area Intermediate School District. Wesley School provides life skills training to eligible special education students ages 0 - 26 years of age.

Students come from the 12 local school districts that make up the MAISD. In addition to the Wesley School Campus, five adult transition classrooms are also in operation, Center Street Transition Center, Third Street Transition Center, Clay Avenue Transition Center, an off site Autistic class room and the Wesley Street Transition Center.

An Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT), which includes representatives of local school districts, must recommend a student for placement in one of Wesley's Special Education programs for students with a cognitive impairment, severe multiple impairments, or autism.
