Business & Finance
Aside from its regulatory and auditing functions involving State reporting, pupil accounting, attendance and transportation, this department provides a range of assistance to area school districts in budget development, management consultation, data processing applications, and school law compliance. Additionally, Business and Finance supports a Technical Assistance Center for the provision of training and professional development for district support staff. It also provides a daily mail delivery to each of the constituent districts and to adjacent counties and it manages the countywide substitute teacher registry system.
Internally, Business and Finance handles payroll, employee benefits, budget development and management, accounts payable, insurance and human resources. This department is also responsible for care and maintenance of all MAISD grounds and facilities.
