Program Description:

Artists create visual solutions. They do so through the use of print, electronic, and film using a variety of methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, multi-media and video. They also produce promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for products and services, as well as distinctive logos. Students will develop class projects as well as participate in the creation of "real world" designs. As part of a team, they will gain important employability and customer service skills. Students will utilize industry software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create their design solutions.

Special Features of the Program:


Visual Design students will use industry-based software including PhotoShop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress and Flash.

Assignments are based on real world scenarios to develop a professional portfolio to support your resume.

Articulated college credit is available from Baker College, Muskegon Community College, and Ferris State University.
