The MAISD facilitates the cooperative work of superintendents business directors, human resource managers, accounting/payroll staff, special education directors, principals, teachers, curriculum directors, technology directors, media specialists, Title I staff, early childhood staff, transportation, and maintenance/operations directors from throughout the county for professional development, networking, and problem solving.
Technology Services provides data solutions, technical support, and instruction to districts throughout West Michigan. Over thirty school agencies in seven counties, including several intermediate school district offices, subscribe to on-line information technology services in accounting, human resources, and student records. Technical assistance in connectivity, technology consultation and regular training opportunities are also offered to districts utilizing these services.
Instructional services are provided in the areas of school improvement and curriculum development with specific consultant services available through the MAISD Regional Mathematics and Science Center, and in the areas of the Arts, Early Childhood, Health, Literacy, Social Studies, Talent Development, and Vocation/Career Education.
Special education consulting services include the areas of assistive and augmentative communication, behavior management, and autism. The MAISD also represents local districts as an active participant in community agencies/organizations and statewide associations.
